Vice Dean for Scientific Research and Projects

Directed the scientific work in the publication of the scientific serial journal of UMT, named “Metropolitan Tirana Journal”;

Coordinated the scientific conferences of FE-UMT in collaboration with FE-UT named “Economic Globalization and Youth Challenges”, March 2018 and FE-UAMD in collaboration with FE-UMT "Challenges for sustainable development of the economy Albanian and prospects of its EU integration ", May 2018);

Organized and coordinated twice the  Summer School in “Educational Leadership”, with the support of Faculty of Economics, UT. Actually I am the Scientific Coordinator of the Scientific Symposium called “Leadership and Management in Education System, sponsored by FE-UMT;

Involved as Project Manager Asisstant in implementing of the international Erasmus KA2 project “Reforming Doctoral Studies In Montenegro And Albania - Good Practice Paradigm-MARDS” and Marekting Manager of the local project “My Little Tirana” funded by AMSHC.

Involved in writing different  projects (especially the programs of EU, such as Erasmus KA2, Interreg, IPA, H2020, COSME, etc) and contribute to the writing and implementation of two local projects won by UMT, My Little Tirana (AMSHC) and Virtual Cicero, Skanderberg Game on Time, etc (Ministry of Culture);

Analyzed the teaching and research work in the faculty together with the chiefs of department  and proposed measures for its further improvement.

Coordinated the team and the work to draft the curricula of different study programs of the faculty that were submitted for approval to the Senate (specifically 2 professional programs focused on management and turism and 3 Master of Science programs);

Organized different information sessions with academic and administrative staff of UMT, related to writing and project management;

Organized different successful open lectures and workshops for the UMT and UT students such as: (Free competition and mechanisms for its protection, Decentralized future-Learn about Bitcoin & Bitchain today, Banking System in Albania, Youth Challenges for the Job Market, etc).

Established collaborative links with other institutions, as well as with industrial, commercial and public organizations participate in staff training activities;

Coordinated the Bootcamps competitons within Metropolitan Incubator and I am mentoring one start-up called “Këndi i Letërsisë”.

Projects

The restructuring doctoral studies in Montenegro and Albania in line with Salzburg Principles and establishment sustainable and modern Joint Doctoral Schools  for Montenegro and Albania, will serve as an example of “good practice” for the WB Region
Specific objectives:
1.    to reconsider the existing national policies/standards for doctoral studies in two countries and their compatibility with good EU practices,
2.    to develop and propose a new model of doctoral studies in two countries, adapted to the acquired experiences over past decades and current and future countries’ needs
3.    to propose a sustainable method of financing doctoral studies in two countries on national levels.
4.    to establish two Joint  Doctoral Schools  "Natural sciences and Technology for Sustainable Development" with place in Montenegro (Podgorica) and “Economy and Tourism for Sustainable Development” with place in Albania (Shkoder) as the recommendable examples of cross-border programmes.
5.    to establish a sustainable cooperation with EU partners and established Doctoral School in order to maintain developed standards.

The main purpose of this project is to contribute to the sustainable growth and development of culinary tourism in Tirana, highlighting the youth protagonism as well as taking positive steps with long-term plans aimed at increasing the number of tourists.
Project Objectives:
1. Increase the visibility of the touristic packages of culinary tourism offered by Tirana, beyond the present format of food tours with group base visits.
2. Development of culinary tourism marketing in Tirana
3. Increasing the level of recognition of Tirana’s gastronomic values
4. Increasing the attendance of culinary operators located in Tirana by foreign tourists
5. Increasing the access to online information with zero cost for products and culinary services provided by culinary economic operators in Tirana
Intervention by this project consists in evaluation and classification of 150 culinary economic operators in Tirana by the best gastronomy experts and the preparation of the virtual map of culinary tourism. This map will illustrate the geographical location of the culinary destinations associated with suggestions on the best restaurants according to the different food specialties they offer.
