Consortium
In order to achieve its overall objective of assisting in the integration of the Albanian academic community into the international community of researchers; facilitating networking opportunities and responding efficiently to calls for research projects, COORP cooperates with key actors in the higher education and research sectors in Albania.
The COORP Consortium is composed of partner universities, both from the public and private sector, in Albania and is open to expand to additional relevant actors in higher education and research in Albania and beyond. The provisions of cooperation are recorded within bilateral agreements that establish the principles and conditions by which the partners agree to cooperate in research and project development and other academic activities of mutual interest and benefit to the higher education landscape in Albania within and beyond the COORP framework.

European University of Tirana
UET is a leading higher education institution in Albania, established in full compliance with the requirements and criteria of the Bologna Charter, including study programmes in the three levels of higher education: BA; MA and Doctorates (PhD) within the: Faculty of Social Sciences and Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Information Technology. UET engages in high quality teaching and research as well as exchange programmes and capacity building projects and joint initiatives with local and international partners.
Luarasi University
Non-public School of Higher Education (NSHE) "Luarasi" is a private institution of higher education, that provides full time studies in two areas: Law and Economics, in two study cycles: "Bachelor" and "Master". The programs currently provided are closely related to labour market needs and perspectives of the economic development of the country.
Epoka University
Epoka University comprises two faculties: The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences composed of the Department of Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Political Science and International Relations as well as the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering, comprising the Department of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering. Epoka University full complies with the requirements of the Bologna Process.
New York University of Tirana
The University of New York Tirana (UNYT offers a selection of dual Bachelor and Master degrees in collaboration with prestigious American and European universities. The University of New York Tirana (UNYT) was founded in 2002 as a part of the New York College (NYC) Network of Educational Institutions and was the first private University in Albania. It was established as a joint effort between the Founder and President of the NYC Network, Mr Elias Foutsis, and UNYT’s first Rector, Prof. Dr. Gramoz Pashko.
Marin Barleti University
UMB has developed its strategic project in line with the national activity in education aiming at the strengthening of the democratisation, modernisation and full adherence to Europe. Created, as a higher education institution with a humanist approach, UMB aims at the development of the institution in another yet dimension, by getting closer to the university practices of an entrepreneurial institution.
Polis University
POLIS mission is to provide “knowledge, technology and leadership for people”. POLIS offers “a focused range of studies” in Art-design, Architecture, Urban planning, and Environmental studies. It also provides solid “post-graduate specializations” in Structural Engineering and Energy Efficiency, IT and Parametric applications, Urban design and Landscaping, Restoration and Conservation heritage; Housing and Social issues, Urban management and Good governance, as well as public administration, entrepreneurship and leadership.
Fan S. Noli University (UNIKO), Korça
“Fan S.Noli” University is a public institution of high education situated inKorca, Albania.Korcais a city of 80.000 inhabitants in the south-eastern Albania, 37 km by the border (Kapshtica) of Greece and 50-60 km from the border (QafeThana) in Macedonia. Korca is the town in which the first Albanian school was opened in 1887. “Fan S.Noli” University has been an educational institution and a scientific research center of the region, since 1971.
Aleksandër Xhuvani University (UNIEL), Elbasan
“Aleksandër Xhuvani” University of Elbasan was transformed into the Higher Institute of Elbasan in 1971 and in November 1991, it got the status of University. Organisational structure - Currently five faculties function in UE: Faculty of Human Sciences, (FHS), with 5 departments; Faculty of Natural Sciences, (FNS), with 4 departments; Faculty of Education Sciences, (FES), with 5 departments; Faculty of Economy and Business (FEB), with 4 departments; Faculty of Medical Technical Sciences (FMTS), with 2 departments.
Aleksandër Moisiu University (UAMD), Durrës
Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës (UAMD) is a public higher education institution established by the Decision No. 801 the Council of Ministers on 20.12.2005. It is one of the eleven public universities in Albania. UAMD has 7 main units such as: Faculty of Business, Faculty of Education, Faculty of information Technology, Faculty of Political Juridical Sciences, Faculty of Professional Studies, Faculty of Integrated Studies with Practice (FASTIP).
Eqerem Çabej University, Gjirokastra
Eqrem Çabej University of Gjirokastra is is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the town of Gjirokastër. It offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. UGJ also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.

The University of Shkodra, "Luigj Gurakuqi" offers wonderful possibilities in attending higher studies at university based on the roots and tradition of an early civilization, on an educational tradition, with a highly professionally qualified national and international staff, with various possible choices in its faculties and branches. This University is also known internationally because of much inter-university collaboration with many associates and collaborators all around the world.
Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana
The University of Tirana was founded in 1957 and it is the first university established in the Republic of Albania. The Faculty of Social Sciences was founded in 1992. It has 5 Departments: Department of Psychology, Department of Philosophy, Department of Sociology, Department of Social Work and Department of Political Sciences.
Partnership within the Quadruple Helix
In addition to cooperating with universities, COORP also aims at working closely with other relevant stakeholder in the higher education and research sector in Albania in the area of government, business and civil society. In this light, COORP is establishing partnership with organisations such as: Agency for Research, Technology and Innovation (ARTI), Albshkenca, UET Centre, QSKN, Consus Network, Tech360. COOPR is open to expanding the cooperation with other organizations and invites researchers and project managers to register their profile online.
