Experience
INSTITUTE OF MICROBIAL TECHNOLOGY (IMTECH)
Dr. Kunzes Dolma has completed her doctoral degree from Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh under the supervision of Dr. Ashish. She did her schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Leh (Ladakh), (Jammu & Kashmir) and further completed her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biotechnology from Panjab University, Chandigarh. During her time at IMTECH she worked on many projects in addition to her thesis project entitled, “Understanding gelsolin(s) mediated gold and silver nanoparticles synthesis”. After the successful development of a novel and universal method of biomaterials based nanoparticles synthesis platform, part of her work has been recently patented entitled, “A Process for the Preparation of Bio-Organic Coated Gold and Silver Nanoparticles using Blue Light (WO 2016157220 A1)” and published on 18th October, 2016. In addition to the several publications, she has also delivered a poster presentation at an international conference- 5th International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid and Nanomaterials (6–10 March 2017) held in Lisbon, Portugal. She is also contributing a chapter in a book entitled “Emerging Trends in Agri-Nanotechnology: Fundamental and Applied Aspects” Editors: H.B. Singh, Sandhya Mishra, Leonardo Fernandes Fraceto, Renata de Lima. The book proposal is already accepted and will be published by CABI, UK.
In addition to writing scholarly publication, she enjoys photography, travelling and singing.
